Delaware Children's Campaign

Makes the Rounds in the Community!

The Delaware Children's Campaign is an enthusiastic participant at community events throughout the State of Delaware!  Our first event, the Middletown Peach festival, was a tremendous success - we gathered names of more than 90 new supporters to add to our partner list! Since then, we have expanded our list to include nearly 500 people who share our passion to make Delaware the most child-friendly state in the nation!

We'd love to have YOU join with us too!  Please watch this space for upcoming events and add your name to the list of Delaware residents who CARE ABOUT KIDS!

I

Dear Friends:

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the parents, advocates and professionals in the community for warmly welcoming me to the Delaware Children’s Campaign.  I admire the work and dedication of all the individuals and organizations that I have met with and hope to continue listening and learning from you for years to come.

For the next several months the Campaign will be singularly focused on building coalitions of support throughout communities in Delaware.  I plan on visiting every civic association, Rotary meeting, community gathering, block party, etc. throughout the state.  My mission is to meet and talk with Delaware voters about their concerns and priorities relating to children.  Already, I have met with dozens of groups to discuss what the Campaign does and how we can partner to help kids in our three platform areas: aging out of foster care; early childhood care and education; helping mothers birth healthy babies.

Please take a moment to join our campaign as it is vital to our advocacy that registered voters in Delaware lend their names to our effort.  Quite simply your name is our power in Dover!  (Click on the “Join the Campaign” link.)

Also, please consider hosting me in your home or local coffee shop.  I will buy the coffee and pastries in return for you and your friends taking a moment of your time to listen to what the Campaign is all about.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of Delaware’s children!

Sincerely,

Rodney Brittingham
